This was written for the October Mini-Contest for Brigits_Flame. The topic was "Personal Evolution", written with an ABCB rhyme scheme and (hopefully) with some kind of rhythm as requested.

Painting the night sky with stars,
Trying to use beauty to cover up the scars
Only to find that the sky remembers
Every wound left by lovers.

From my desk, all I have to do is glance up half-an-inch and I am greeted with a view of the sunset unique to me. Only from this spot can one see the Prussian blue sky made vibrant with shades of yellow, red, and orange above the roofs and trees and power lines.
